# Payments

#### Before:

Previously, customers would place an order with the supplier, who would deliver the goods and later issue an invoice. The payment process took place separately from the order itself, often requiring manual follow-up.

#### New benefits:

* **Streamlined transactions**: Buyers can now complete payments directly at checkout, simplifying the order process.
* **Flexibility for suppliers**: Suppliers have greater control over payment options, choosing the approach that best fits their business needs.
* **Reduced payment delays**: Immediate payment options reduce delays, ensuring a faster and more reliable payment cycle.

#### Payment options:

With this addon, suppliers can choose from three payment settings for their customers:

* **Mandatory payment**: Customers are required to pay for each order at checkout.
* **Optional payment**: Customers have the option to pay at checkout, though it is not required.
* **No online payment**: Payment is handled outside the online shop as per traditional methods.

#### Activation:

* Reach out to your contact at Orderlion to add the Payments addon to your subscription (it costs 49€ per month).
* This feature integrates with popular payment providers for secure, direct payments during checkout. It can either be integrated with a provider you already use, or with a provider Orderlion partners with.
* Suppliers can enable or adjust payment settings to match their workflow needs.<br>
